InStar RIS System Requirements

InStar will identify your requirements and upon request, will purchase all necessary server hardware and third party software. InStar recommends using Dell hardware for optimum compatibility. Listed below are system requirements and recommendations. Please call InStar’s sales department for more information:

• (2) 72GB 10K RPM Ultra 320 SCSI Hard Drive (no RAID)

• To increase effectiveness, an additional Web Server will be required if utilizing the Web Client. The specs will not exceed those set out above.

• Microsoft Office 2003 Standard Edition (Professional Edition required on all workstations with requirement of running management reports.)

Additional Network Requirements

• Broadband Internet Access at 512Kbps Upstream and Downstream
• Analog phone line @ server location w/DID #
• VPN Capable Router (SonicWall, Symantec, Watchguard) (Recommend – Cisco 1700 w/ VPN IOS)
• TCP/IP Network Protocol running on private segment (IP subnet provided by InStar)
• Certified Switched Ethernet Backbone with 100Mb Ethernet Port available to each computer

• HP LaserJet 4300n Laser Printer (quantity as necessary per facility)
