Implementation

InStar works closely with its clients to ensure the best possible installation experience. Years of experience have contributed to a highly efficient, yet quality implementation process. Implementation services are included in your RIS purchase.

Launch meeting and On-Site Survey

The project manager immediately assigned to your account will work with the customer to best determine the processes, policies and procedures. This manager will also assess how the customer can best incorporate the InStar RIS into its operation. The launch meeting is usually conducted at the facility or via conference call. At that time, the customer will learn in greater detail about InStar’s RIS capabilities. Together, we will then determine how to best incorporate InStar RIS into the workflow. InStar Systems will conduct interviews with transcriptionists, receptionists, radiologists, and technologists to learn more about how the RIS can fit into the customer’s current processes. Additionally, this information will help InStar Systems and the customer develop the custom training procedures for the users.

Installation

The Installation phase consists of Infrastructure Installation, Remote Installation (when possible), On-Site Installation, System Configuration, Master File creation, Data Migration and Administrative Training and Testing.

Data Migration

It is important that information from your existing system be imported into the InStar RIS system. Data migration services are provided and will enable you to use the InStar RIS in conjunction with data that is reconciled and complete.

Data Migration Analysis

The first step in the data migration process is analysis of the data. The InStar RIS data migration consultant will work with your system team to determine the data that should be transferred; the format of the data; and, the processes required to transfer the data over to the InStar RIS system.

Training and Live Operations

Once the facility data has been entered or migrated, and the system certified operational, your InStar trainer will conduct on-site user and administrator training.

Follow-Up

Following your go-live date, the InStar team will continue to monitor your implementation via status updates. The InStar Systems’ team will follow up with all users and work with administrators on any outstanding issues and provide further training, as necessary.
